Mengmeng received her M.A. degree in Media Studies from the Radio, Television and Film department at the University of Texas at Austin. As a feminist media scholar, Mengmeng is interested in gender, feminist activism, and queerness in the Chinese digital media sphere.

I am currently pursuing my PhD in Interpersonal Communication. My research goals are focused on engaging collaboratively with community members to reform systems that do not adequately serve the community's needs. I am primarily interested in how people manage stigmatized information and social support.
