Chia-Hsuan is a first-year Ph.D. student in Communication Studies at the University of Iowa, specializing in the rhetoric, culture, and engagement track. Her professional focus revolves around critical rhetoric and cultural geography. She has interdisciplinary training in cultural studies, media studies, and sociology. In her previous research endeavors, she employed qualitative methods to delve into the realms of films and social media, exploring how political, gender, and cultural identities are reflected through media. Currently, she is intrigued by the intersection of cultural geography and communication studies, which centers around contesting imaginaries of land in rural areas.
