Andrew Boge, a second-year doctoral student in Communication Studies, had the opportunity to participate in the inaugural class of the Humanities for the Public Good summer internship program, generously funded by the Obermann Center for Advanced Studies and the Andrew Mellon Foundation.

Richard Cherwitz has spent his career studying political rhetoric—something he learned at the University of Iowa. As he prepares to retire from the University of Texas at Austin and take what he imagines will be a brief break from a barrage of insightful op-eds across the country, it’s appropriate to acknowledge his and like-minded colleagues’ contributions.
