The Department of Communication Studies at the University of Iowa wants to acknowledge the racial trauma that members of our community have experienced during the recent wave of anti-Asian violence, and we stand with you during a time when our AAPI friends and neighbors are being attacked and killed in America.

"When the Medium was the Mission: The Atlantic Telegraph and the Religious Origins of Network Culture" is an innovative exploration of religion's enduring influence on communication networks by Jenna Supp-Montgomerie, Assistant Professor of Religious Studies and Communication Studies at the University of Iowa. 

Dr. Kate Magsamen-Conrad and graduate student Erin Slattery are among the team who received the Federation Prize from the Central States Communication Association. The prize will fund their research to examine the disclosure and privacy management strategies of parents who have children with medically complex chronic conditions.
