The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences recognized Comm Studies Professor Kembrew McLeod at the 2023 CLAS faculty awards. Professor McLeod was recognized the 2023 A. Craig Baird Professor. Professor Emeritus A. Craig Baird directed University of Iowa debate teams from 1925 until 1950, and he served as head of the Iowa High School Forensic League during the same years.
