Ebenezer Aidoo is a PhD candidate at the University of Iowa, focusing on health , technology and interpersonal communication. His research delves into technology adoption, technological capital, and the design of messages for behavior change in health contexts. Within technology adoption, he examines the factors that influence individuals' acceptance or resistance to health technologies. His work on technological capital explores how access to, knowledge of, and proficiency with technology impact health behaviors and engagement with healthcare systems. Additionally, Ebenezer designs persuasive messages aimed at specific audiences to promote behavior change, studying the psychological processes that drive these changes. His dissertation investigates the adoption of medical drone technology by healthcare professionals in Ghana for delivering essential medical supplies to remote villages. Using interviews and surveys, he analyzes the factors influencing this adoption, with the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology and Technological Capital for eHealth Communication serving as the study's theoretical framework. His research aims to enhance communication between drone services and medical staff, ultimately improving healthcare access in underserved regions of Ghana.
