Biography

Dr. David Supp-Montgomerie, an Associate Professor of Instruction in the Department of Communication Studies, combines his expertise in communication with a deep commitment to student life as a Faculty Fellow in the Division of Student Life. He co-leads several projects, including the Day of Dialogue series and the Civic Dialogue Initiative, emphasizing the importance of communication in fostering an inclusive and engaged campus community.
 

David teaches on the broad themes that orient students to communication and culture, as well as the specific theoretical and practical tools involved in public life. These have included: rhetorical theory and criticism; political communication and deliberation; and business and professional communication skills. In all of his classes he seeks to create affirming and intellectually rigorous classrooms focused on nurturing students’ civic and scholarly voices.
